Director - HR Business Partnerships

Responsibilities
Champion initiatives to improve employee engagement and foster a positive organizational culture
Work with business leaders to implement programs that enhance team dynamics, operational strategies and goals, and employee satisfaction
Partner with business unit leadership and Talent Acquisition team to develop effective hiring plans and strategies
Work with business leaders to implement strategic workforce planning and succession planning across units. Liaison with client leadership on talent acquisition and development strategy to ensure alignment with the organization’s long-term objectives
Coach business leaders in developing career pathing and succession planning initiatives to build a strong internal talent pipeline
In coordination with Employee Relations COE, act as a trusted advisor to management regarding employee relations issues, promoting a positive work environment and addressing concerns in a fair and consistent manner
Partner with the Employee Relations team, legal counsel, and other key stakeholders on the identification, escalation, risk mitigation and resolution of employee relations issues
Support leadership in analyzing performance metrics and recommend changes to enhance overall workforce effectiveness
Provide advice and guidance on performance management, including leadership development, accelerated development, succession planning, coaching, talent reviews, and separations
Provide guidance and support to HRBP Team, organizational leaders and employees through periods of change
Lead HR integration efforts during organizational changes, ensuring effective communication and support for leadership and staff throughout transitions
Lead and assist in the development and planning of organizational change/transformation, leading identification/framing of problems, creation of trusting relationships, action plan fulfillment
Collaborate with senior leadership to understand business goals and translate them into effective HR strategies, providing proactive support and insight into HR initiatives that impact organizational success
Provide strategic insight and guidance on HR-related issues to enhance business performance
Utilize HR metrics and analytics to inform decision-making, assess the effectiveness of HR initiatives, and identify areas for improvement
Work with business and COE partners to understand plans and business needs and generate nearterm solutions, provide recommendations for longer-term strategies with a focus on Talent Acquisition and Talent Management for the client group
Identify and research new approaches, strategies, and processes to address a business need
Drive organizational change and influence leaders to address complex issues
Develop and foster meaningful relationships with key business leaders and gain a comprehensive understanding of the various team dynamics, leadership styles, employee profiles, department structure, and functions
Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and HR COEs (Centers of Expertise) to ensure a unified approach to HR practices, providing HR guidance that supports the unique needs of various departments within the hospital system
Leverage the COEs - specifically Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Leadership Development, Compensation, Benefits, Workforce Development, Employee Rewards, HR Operations, and Performance Management - to develop and implement programs which foster employee engagement and success, ensuring that HR Solutions meet the specific needs of the organization
Ensure strong customer relationship satisfaction levels as a result of providing high value deliverables to the business for self and HRBP Team
Actively participate as a strategic leader and member of the HR leadership team with input, oversight and accountability for the HRBP functions
Oversee and manage assigned HR Business Partners (HRBPs), providing guidance and support to ensure they effectively address the HR needs and strategic partnerships in supporting their respective areas of responsibility
Foster a team-oriented environment that encourages collaboration and professional development among HRBPs
Coach and mentor business leadership teams to effectively manage staff and navigate complex human resources issues
Coach and mentor HR team members to enhance their capabilities in delivering effective business partnerships
Assess training needs and collaborate with Learning and Development COEs on programs to enhance employee skills and leadership capabilities, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development
In collaboration and coordination with HR Operations, assist in establishing and maintaining HR policies and procedures that ensure compliance with legal requirements and reflect best practices in human resources management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
A minimum of seven (7) years of progressive HR generalist experience with at least 3-5 years in a business partner capacity or similar role
Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement
Preferred
Ten (10) years of progressive HR experience, with significant experience in HR Business Partner role
Hospital or healthcare setting experience
Proven track record in strategic planning, organizational development, and change management
Proven track record of leading HR initiatives that align with business strategies and drive organizational effectiveness
Advanced skills in data analysis and HR Metrics
Strong leadership and team management skills
Currently certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) preferred
Currently certified as a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) preferred
Currently certified in Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) and as a Strategic Human Resources Business Partner (sHRBP) by the Human Capital Institute preferred
