Responsibilities
Program robotic paths and behaviors for 6-axis robotic arms
Develop and integrate computer vision and learning pipelines
Integrate robotic systems using ROS / ROS2
Design, build, test, and troubleshoot robotic systems (HW & SW)
Integrate and tune sensors and actuators to optimize system performance and accuracy
Develop user interfaces for robotic systems
Own technical tasks and projects from concept through release and hand-off
Apply engineering theory to solve complex, real-world robotics problems
Conduct pilot studies and formal experiments using Design of Experiments (DOE) principles
Benchmark performance against state-of-the-art approaches using well-defined metrics
Generate technical reports and recommendations based on experimental data
Collaborate cross-functionally throughout the product lifecycle
Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma process control techniques
Train and mentor other engineers
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field
3–10 years of hands-on experience in robotics manipulation and computer vision
Strong intuition for system hardware, physics, and real-world constraints
Experience with robotics, machine learning / deep learning, or reinforcement learning
Proficiency in C++ and Python in Linux environments
Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
Working knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE)
Experience using Git or similar version control systems
Ability to work independently and own projects end-to-end
Understanding of statistical process control and analysis
Project management experience
Preferred
Experience with Behavior Trees, MoveIt
Robotic hardware design and end-effector development
Proficiency in MCAD tools (Siemens NX, Creo, SolidWorks)
Experience with OpenCV, TensorFlow or PyTorch
Knowledge of JavaScript / React for UI development
Experience with Web APIs or SDKs
Embedded Linux experience, including kernel-level work
Prior experience working in lab-intensive robotics environments
