Business Office Manager

The Business Office Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing financial operations, including revenue cycle management, accounts receivable, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

Monitor and validate patient insurance for assigned regions utilizing the specific software and reports
Answer patient and employee questions related to, but not limited to, copayments, insurance, billing, collections, coverage, etc
Assist with cash and insurance collections
Provide assistance to statewide Accounts Receivable team
Responsible for ongoing insurance validation
Provide critical financial information for new patients and clients
Update patient financial information including current primary and secondary insurances
Monitor and report on key revenue cycle metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement
Perform audits on Care Management patients
Assist patients with billing inquiries, payment plans, and financial assistance options
Provide support to staff in navigating billing software and resolving patient financial concerns
Foster a culture of exceptional customer service and patient-centered care within the office
Serve as a liaison between the office staff and regional leadership, ensuring clear communication and coordination
Assist with any service suspensions or discharges
Work with your team to resolve patient insurance issues and determine the appropriate action for upcoming appointments
Participate in coaching calls
Perform other duties as requested or required, at the sole discretion of the Company

Required

High school diploma or equivalent and associate degree required
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
Ability to manage and demonstrate effective leadership skills
Should demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills under all conditions and circumstances
Ability to foster a cooperative work environment and work collaboratively with other department heads, leadership, and key stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Team player with ability to manage multiple responsibilities and demonstrate sound judgment
Ability to read and communicate effectively
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Basic computer knowledge
Must be able to work flexible hours and travel between offices, facilities, etc
Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working condition

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in business administration, health care administration, human resources, or a related field preferred
