Director of Marketing & Events
SCS is a leading Pacific Northwest wealth management firm, seeking a Director of Marketing & Events to elevate their brand and client experience. This role involves overseeing marketing initiatives that drive client engagement and community connection, while managing digital campaigns and event execution.

Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that amplify the SCS brand across client, advisor, community, and professional audiences
Refine current branding voice and visual identity reflective of SCS’s Pacific Northwest roots and multigenerational focus
Oversee website and digital content, ensuring continuity through consistent narrative and compliance alignment
Build and manage annual marketing calendar across digital, print, events, PR, and thought leadership
Create marketing campaigns highlighting advisor expertise, client success stories, firm culture and core values
Support the development of partnerships that expand market reach and create new pathways for client acquisitions
Partner with compliance to ensure all marketing materials meet SEC regulations under Marketing Rule (206(4)-1)
Lead digital strategy including SEO/SEM, social media, paid media, and email marketing
Implement AI-enhanced content and analytics tools to identify prospect behavior and optimize engagement
Manage marketing platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Canva, Google Analytics, LinkedIn Campaign Manager) to track ROI and performance metrics
Develop firm-wide KPI dashboards and analyze marketing performance for leadership
Help manage the firm’s Financial Wellness platform
Oversee planning and execution of firm and client events: from intimate family, office and professional engagements to large-scale educational and philanthropic gatherings
Partner with array of internal departments to deliver advisors, COI, and client experiences that deepen relationships and enhance brand equity
Create and manage an annual events calendar integrating client appreciation, education, talent acquisition, and community involvement
Ensure all events reflect SCS’s experience-refined, personal, and Pacific Northwest rooted culture
Develop and manage comprehensive internal and external marketing resources, including agencies, designers, and digital vendors
Collaborate with advisors and firm leadership to ensure brand alignment across all touchpoints
Establish best practices and processes that can be replicated for scalable marketing execution
Lead internal communications and recognition campaigns that strengthen firm culture
Qualification
Required
8+ years of marketing leadership in the RIA, financial, or professional-services space
Proven expertise in brand storytelling, digital marketing, and event management
Strong understanding of SEC regulatory framework and RIA compliance requirements
Proven ability to manage complex projects, analyze data, and present clear insights into leadership
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to influence without direct authority
Detail-oriented with the ability to balance day-to-day execution and long-term planning
Strategic builder that can design frameworks and dive into execution
Strong knowledge of digital growth, automation, and lead generation tools
Strong ability to build partnerships, launch new business channels, and collaborate on advisor recruiting campaigns
Analytical and outcome-driven, comfortable making data-informed decisions
7–10 years of experience in marketing leadership, ideally within an RIA, wealth management, or professional services firm
Proven success in brand storytelling, digital marketing, and event production
Deep understanding of the financial services landscape and compliance standards (SEC/FINRA)
Experience leading both strategic and tactical marketing initiatives across channels
Strong command of CRM and automation systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent)
Excellent written and presentation skills; confident communicator with C-Suite and client audiences
Bachelor's degree required
Preferred
Proficiency in Salesforce, HubSpot, or comparable systems
Experience with CRM, compliance software, and marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Mail Chimp, Marketo, HubSpot, Smartria, etc.)
