Manager - Analytics Engineering
Mercy is a healthcare organization seeking a Manager of Analytic Engineering to lead a team of Analytic Engineers. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data products and analytic solutions while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration within the team.

Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and implementation of analytic products
Ensures teams deliver high-quality visualizations, dashboards, and reports using Power BI, Databricks, Power Apps, EPIC Cogito, and related tools
Guides the team in applying best practices for CI/CD, testing, and analytic solution delivery
Partners with business stakeholders to ensure alignment between analytic solutions and strategic objectives
Manages the development of semantic models, and data products
Defines technical standards and enforces best practices for performance, scalability, and governance
Collaborates to ensure team solutions align with enterprise architecture frameworks
Oversees migration, modernization, and optimization of analytic environments
Leads, mentors, and develops a team of Analytic Engineers across various experience levels
Creates professional growth pathways and fosters technical excellence through coaching and performance management
Builds a high-performing culture focused on innovation, continuous improvement, and data stewardship
Plans and prioritizes development efforts, ensuring timely and quality delivery of analytics projects
Serves as the bridge between business stakeholders, data scientists, architects, and IT teams
Translate complex business needs into actionable data and analytic strategies
Communicates technical topics to non-technical audiences through clear data stories and visual narratives
Collaborates across departments to promote shared data standards, transparency, and accountability
Promotes self-service analytics and data literacy through training and standards
Contributes to the Analytics Community of Practice by sharing lessons learned and frameworks
Helps define best practices, reusable assets, and frameworks that elevate the analytic engineering discipline across the enterprise
Ensures adherence to governance, privacy, and security policies
Partners with data stewards to maintain metadata, lineage, and data quality documentation
Supports auditing, usage monitoring, and compliance with organizational standards
Qualification
Required
Education: Degree in computer science, software engineering, data analytics, technology, or related field experience
Experience: Ten (10) years of relevant technical or business work experience, including at least three (3) years of people leadership or team management experience in analytics or data engineering
