Responsibilities
Acting as a leading expert in your field you will recognize relevant people, organizations, and institutions influencing the research agenda and competitive landscape. You will champion innovative principles and form strategic partnerships with thought leaders in the industry
You will incorporate key business and product requirements to define a clear agenda and vision that influences the direction of the company for strategic advantage. You’ll drive programs structured around key business challenges and hold team members accountable for applying deep subject matter expertise
You will leverage your network and personal expertise to attract new research talent to join Microsoft. You’ll identify cutting-edge solutions for products, create new application areas as needed, and recruit new headcount for these areas
You will document work in progress and provide leadership for team members with documentation processes used. You’ll advocate for research and product groups and drive discussions around ethics and privacy
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
OR Master's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
OR equivalent experience
1+ year(s) of people management experience
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)

7+ years experience developing and deploying products or systems at multiple points in the product cycle from ideation to shipping
