Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain software applications using C++ and Python

Implement secure coding practices to harden device software against cybersecurity threats

Perform cryptographic operations such as encryption, key management, and certificate handling

Participate in code reviews, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessments

Document software designs, system configurations, and security architecture

Collaborate with systems engineering and security teams to implement cybersecurity controls

Support software development activities from requirements definition through final release

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience

3+ years of hands-on software development experience using C++ and Python

Experience with secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC) and secure coding practices

Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles including confidentiality, integrity, and availability

Experience applying security concepts to embedded or device-level software

Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills

Preferred

Experience with OpenSSL, TLS, PKCS, and cryptographic protocols

Knowledge of Linux-based software development environments

Experience with Qt application development

Familiarity with Perl or Shell scripting

Knowledge of IEC 62304 or similar regulated software standards

Familiarity with cybersecurity guidance in regulated industries

Background in regulated sectors such as medical devices, aerospace, automotive, or defense
