Responsibilities
Support reactor startup testing, including physics testing and data analysis
Monitor reactor core performance and provide recommendations for operational improvements
Interface with operations, maintenance, and regulatory personnel to ensure compliance with safety and licensing requirements
Participate in refueling outage planning and execution, including fuel movement planning and post-outage verification
Maintain and improve reactor engineering tools and methodologies
Plan, direct, and coordinate engineering activities for assigned projects with a focus on safety, reliability, and cost efficiency
Evaluate and approve design changes and modifications
Perform or oversee performance tests and system compatibility assessments
Conduct short- and long-term condition assessments of components and systems
Provide technical leadership, guidance, and development for engineering team members
Qualification
Required
Early to mid-level nuclear operator experience
Support reactor startup testing, including physics testing and data analysis
