Responsibilities
Draft and negotiate purchase agreements and other ancillary documents
Oversee, coordinate, and conduct legal due diligence in connection with transactions
Oversee and coordinate work with outside counsel as needed, ensuring cost-effective and aligned legal support
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including payer agreements, vendor agreements, provider agreements, employment agreements, business associate agreements, etc
Provide legal counsel to leadership and cross-functional teams on risk mitigation, strategic initiatives, and day-to-day operations
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; member in good standing with a U.S. state bar
3-7 years of relevant experience, including mergers and acquisitions (healthcare-related transactions experience strongly preferred)
Strong contract negotiation and drafting skills across a variety of agreements
Business-oriented mindset with the ability to balance risk and growth
Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
Preferred
Prior experience at a large law firm and/or a health care organization
Experience leading health care mergers and acquisitions transactions
Deep knowledge of federal and state healthcare laws and regulations
Corporate governance experience
