Associate Director, Policy/County Operations

The Associate Director of Policy/County Operations reports to the Deputy Director of Member Operations
The Associate Director of Policy/County Operations plays a critical role the development of the scope, planning, execution, and delivery of Medicaid eligibility policy, eligibility training and oversight of the local DSS support, Medicaid policy subject matter expertise for NC FAST system changes in relation to Medicaid eligibility and user and beneficiary experience improvement
This role provides meaningful insight ensuring that DHB Member Operations run more efficiently and effectively
This position oversees the Operational Support Team (OST) and Medicaid Policy teams

Required

Master's degree in an area specific to the program from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of experience in the area of assignment, including three years in a supervisory or consultative capacity
Bachelor's degree in an area specific to the program from an appropriately accredited institution and seven years of experience in the area of assignment, including three years in a supervisory or consultative capacity
an equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred

Experience communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and project management skills
Flexibility to adapt to shifting and multiple priorities and short-term deadlines
Experience working with and/or managing cross-functional teams
Proven experience in Medicaid program management and oversight, developing and interpreting Medicaid eligibility policy
