Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) Intern

The SHE Intern will assist the Safety, Health and Environmental Department in ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies, gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
Assist in conducting Safety Inspections and audits to identify potential hazards
Support and directly implement outlined corrective actions and opportunities for improvement to mitigate identified risks
Participate in the development and delivery of safety training programs for employees
Assist in the investigation of incidents and near-misses, and contribute to the review of metrics related to safety incidents
Help generate, maintain, and update safety records and documentation
Assist in the monitoring of occupational health programs and initiatives
Support ergonomic assessments and recommend improvements to reduce workplace injuries
Assist in conducting environmental impact assessments and audits
Support the implementation of waste reduction and recycling programs
Help monitor compliance with environmental regulations and standards
Participate in sustainability initiatives and projects aimed at reducing the plant's environmental footprint
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field
Strong interest in SHE Management in a manufacturing environment
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Effective Communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Preferred
Basic understanding of SHE Regulations and standards is a plus
