Responsibilities
Participate in process flow analysis and process redesign alongside the Engagement Manager
Develop detailed functional design documents aligned with customer requirements
Collaborate with Technical Architects to produce technical specifications for custom development and systems integration
Recommend best practices and third-party solution alternatives within functional design documentation
Support training design, documentation, and delivery efforts
Lead and participate in design and technical solutioning meetings
Influence stakeholders to achieve optimal architectural solutions
Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to architectural standards
Manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, rapidly evolving technical environment
Qualification
Required
Java
Modern Database Technologies
Integration Software
Hands-on expertise in one or more of the following: Java / J2EE, C++, .NET
SOAP, RESTful services
JSON, XML
Frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, Struts
Integration/EAI technologies
Database technologies (Oracle, MySQL, JDBC, SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures)
Security, resiliency, and integration patterns
2+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture
10+ years of overall software development experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical and solution designs
Experience designing and implementing enterprise-level technology solutions
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or equivalent
Financial Services industry experience
Strong understanding of: Web-based, service-oriented, and enterprise application architectures
Balancing business needs with technical and financial constraints
