Back End/Integration Engineer

As a Back End/Integration Engineer, you will play a key role in transforming project plans and requirements into robust, scalable solutions while collaborating across teams to design, build, and maintain systems that power our growing platform.

Responsibilities
Delivering assignments from technical leads, team leads, and project managers
Performing analysis, design, development, and testing in alignment with architectural standards and technical documentation
Planning and executing tasks, implementing solutions, and maintaining thorough project documentation
Writing high-quality, testable code that enhances reliability and availability
Collaborating with peer developers on shared projects to ensure seamless integration
Partnering with Product Managers, Designers, and Frontend Engineers to brainstorm and implement new features for our expanding user base
Driving impactful results by contributing to team projects that influence business outcomes
Working with team leads to define and maintain the long-term health of core features and surrounding systems
Assisting support and operations teams in diagnosing and resolving production issues
Performing other duties as needed to support team and business goals
Qualification
Required
BS Computer Sciences Related Degree or relevant experience required
Familiar with CI/CD – Codefresh, Git, Docker, Kubernetes
5+ years of Java development
5 years of experience with one or more of these Integration-related technologies (ESB, Apache Camel, ActiveMQ, REST API, Spring WS)
5 years of experience using some of the following technologies: XML, JSON, DTDs, XSLT
5 years of experience with the following databases: Mongo and Microsoft SQL Server
5 years of experience using code repositories (Git, Stash) and automated build tools (Bamboo, Jenkins, Codefresh)
5 years of systems analysis and programming experience
Experienced with software/automation development, including program design, coding, testing, and debugging
Work with other members of the development team as well as product owners and business analysts to define function and technical requirements
Provides support and troubleshooting for all related systems and technologies. This includes being a point of contact for business users. Requires strong problem solving and communication skills to interpret issues and provide resolution. Must be able to coordinate with vendor for escalation of support related issues
Participate in business requirement gathering meetings with business users to understand all aspects of the business (functionality, processes, technologies); determine feasibility of requests; identify best approach to provide technology solutions to meet business needs; provide detailed estimations (time, cost, resources); and then translate into technical specifications
