Responsibilities

Product & Component Level forecast management
Read, interpret and understand MRP system
Determining the required materials and generating purchase orders
Ensuring the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production
Tracking production volume and monitoring customer demand patterns and purchasing trends
Scheduling and overseeing the supply and delivery of materials and products
Managing inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations
Coordinating production operations in accordance with material, labor, and equipment availability
Effecting changes to production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met
Compiling status and performance reports and submitting them to management in a timely manner
Review and maintain new project requirements once transitioned from Engineering
Component procurement and component delivery coordination to support Service Inventory
Sourcing and purchasing material and services for new product development
Participate in new vendor vetting and contract negotiations
Other duties as required

Required

High school diploma or GED required
5+ years of experience in material planning, production planning, inventory management, purchasing, or a related position
Strong understanding of COGS performance data
Experience translating a monthly sales forecast into a manufacturing forecast
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and material management (MRP) systems
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Strong organization and documentation skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Some flexibility necessary with office hours

Preferred

Degree in business, logistics, inventory management, or a related field preferred
Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) accreditation or other relevant certification is advantageous
