Responsibilities
Lead planning, execution, and delivery of BI projects from initiation through deployment
Drive project schedules, deliverables, and milestones across BI, data, and business teams
Monitor and report project progress, risks, issues, and KPIs to BI leadership and stakeholders
Partner closely with data engineers, BI engineers, analysts, and BI leadership to ensure clarity around scope, priorities, and timelines
Facilitate sprint ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
Identify and remove blockers, manage resource allocation, and maintain a high-performance delivery culture
Write and run SQL queries to validate data, troubleshoot issues, and support user acceptance testing
Review and interpret data from source systems and data models feeding BI dashboards and reports
Help translate business requirements into clear user stories and technical tasks for the BI and data engineering teams
Use Jira (or a similar project management tool) to manage backlogs, sprints, and priorities, and to maintain visibility into work in progress
Ensure adherence to BI and data governance standards across the project lifecycle
Validate data accuracy, quality, and completeness in dashboards and reporting assets
Maintain project documentation, requirements, and acceptance criteria in a centralized repository
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline
Project Management experience strongly preferred: the ideal candidate has 2-5 years' experience as a PM/BA or similar role leading projects AND prior experience in a hands-on BI related role
5–7 years of experience as a Data Analyst, BI Engineer, Data Engineer, or similar technical, hands-on role – based in the U.S
Hands-on BI experience, including strong SQL querying skills and experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization tools
Understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL workflows, and data modeling best practices
Experience supporting or managing BI and analytics-focused teams or initiatives
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple technical projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a bias toward data-driven decision making
Proficiency with Jira or a similar project management tool for managing backlogs, sprints, and project reporting (strongly preferred)
