Responsibilities
Programming and configuring Building Automation Systems (BAS) using function block logic, scripting, and graphics
Creating intuitive graphical user interfaces for BAS systems
Visiting job sites to support startup, checkout, commissioning, and systems programming activities
Validating, troubleshooting, and documenting point‑to‑point checkout of field devices, controllers, and equipment
Following established software development, communication, and documentation standards
Clearly communicating project status, challenges, and solutions to team members and stakeholders
Interpreting written sequences of operation developed by Project Engineering and converting them into controller code
Collaborating with internal project teams and contractor partners to ensure successful system commissioning
Delivering customer or internal training, either on-site or at a company training center, as needed
Qualification
Required
Programming and configuring Building Automation Systems (BAS) using function block logic, scripting, and graphics
Creating intuitive graphical user interfaces for BAS systems
Visiting job sites to support startup, checkout, commissioning, and systems programming activities
Validating, troubleshooting, and documenting point‑to‑point checkout of field devices, controllers, and equipment
Following established software development, communication, and documentation standards
Clearly communicating project status, challenges, and solutions to team members and stakeholders
Interpreting written sequences of operation developed by Project Engineering and converting them into controller code
Collaborating with internal project teams and contractor partners to ensure successful system commissioning
Delivering customer or internal training, either on-site or at a company training center, as needed
Basic understanding of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and control concepts
Working knowledge of HVAC systems, including components, sequences, and operation
Strong technical troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve system issues
Familiarity with networking concepts (IP addressing, controllers, communication protocols, etc.)
Experience with or exposure to controls programming (minimal to moderate development and modification)
Ability to follow established standards and procedures
Willingness to learn from senior engineers and field personnel
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a project team
Clear written and verbal communication skills
