Responsibilities

Work will include forensic examination of data to draw conclusions, make predictions, and drive informed decision making by identifying patterns, trends, and correlations

Employ a wide range of tools and techniques, including statistical analysis, data mining, machine learning, and data visualization, to analyze data and derive insights

Support involves the ingestion, processing, and analysis of extensive, intricate datasets in various unpredictable formats, requiring tailored analytics and methodologies to facilitate effective examination, enable attribution, and generate investigative leads

Projects may necessitate the application of data science methodologies and specialized expertise to develop meaningful, reproducible processes and analytics that support effective analysis

As a senior cyber data analyst expectations include planning and leading major technology assignments

Evaluating performance results and recommending major changes affecting short-term project growth and success

Will function as a technical expert across multiple project assignments

May supervise others

Required

Minimum of 8 years' experience preferred

In absence of years of experience, certifications or past CNO/CNE work may be used to show the level of experience needed to perform at this level

Experience with cyber security tools including Splunk

Preferred

Master's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Data Science, or similar technical degree is desired

4 + years of direct cyber security data analysis experience may be substituted for education

Experience with cyber security data analytics tools such as Splunk SIEM, ManageEngine Firewall Analyzer, SolarWinds Security Event Manager, Tenable tools, and other similar SIEM tools

Experience with machine learning and AI and interest in learning how to improve data analytics using new technology
