Responsibilities

Help prepare budgets and schedules for contract work and assist with financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlooks, cash forecasting and variance analysis
Work to ensure adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation for expenditure projections and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government
Serve in a Cost Analyst role for multiple contractual research and development (CRAD) programs as well as manage strategic internal R&D (IRAD) projects
Responsible for numerous aspects of the program including cost, schedule, and technical performance of the program, and interfacing with internal and external customers, and support organizations
Help product divisions expand their customer base, identify growth opportunities, and play significant role in bid and proposal activities
Interface with the rest of the division to identify technology mature enough to pull into other IRAD and CRAD projects
Analyze variances/trends and develop new methods and process techniques; Work under very general supervision while completing numerous assignments per schedule and elevating potential issues to ensure proper management focus
Provide data management and analysis skills with working knowledge of Excel/ PowerPoint to represent data visually
May develop and deliver presentations

Required

Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of stated professional experience – OR – Master's degree – OR – an additional 4+ years of stated experience with a High School diploma in lieu of degree
Experience with financial analysis or reporting
Experience with MS Office Suite
Requires an active Department of Defense (DoD) Top-Secret Clearance and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Access at the time of application

Preferred

Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business Administration
Defense industry experience
Earned Value Management (EVM) experience
Military Leadership Experience
Program Cost Control experience
Experience with FAR/DFAR
Experience with Costpoint, Cobra, Primavera or SAP
