Electrical Test Technician

Responsibilities
Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and pre-production tests on electrical and power distribution products to verify compliance with technical and safety standards
Conduct inspections and diagnostic troubleshooting using calibrated meters, oscilloscopes, and mid-range voltage test setups
Support commissioning and on-site evaluations, including high-potential (Hi-Pot) insulation tests, relay calibration, and partial discharge screening
Create and maintain detailed test documentation—plans, scripts, reports, and certificates—to meet ISO/QMS requirements
Identify issues during testing, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions in collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams
Work closely with design and production teams to improve test processes and ensure safe, standardized workflows
Qualification
Required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or related field
1–3 years of hands-on experience in electrical testing or similar roles
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and line diagrams
Skilled in using electrical test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power analyzers, megohmmeters, and Hi-Pot testers
Familiarity with test methods like relay calibration, insulation withstand, and component verification
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with experience in corrective actions
Excellent documentation and reporting skills; knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality systems
Comfortable working onsite in a manufacturing or service environment with strict adherence to safety protocols
