Cyber Capability Developer (Reverse Engineer)

Responsibilities

Reverse Engineering: Assist in analyzing software binaries, firmware, and systems to understand functionality, uncover vulnerabilities, and extract proprietary algorithms
Vulnerability Identification: Contribute to identifying and assessing security weaknesses, design flaws, and exploitable code paths
Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work with developers, analysts, and security engineers to resolve complex technical challenges and develop effective mitigations
Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed technical documentation, findings, and reports summarizing analysis, methodologies, and recommendations
Continuous Improvement: Support process optimization by implementing best practices and helping integrate modern reverse-engineering techniques into the team’s workflow

Required

Active Top Secret with eligibility for SCI w/ CI Poly
5+ years of experience in reverse engineering, cybersecurity, or software development roles
3+ years of experience in Agile environments
Exposure to reverse engineering tools (e.g., IDA Pro, Ghidra, JEB, Hopper) and basic understanding of software debugging
Location: Newington, VA — Hybrid work environment with the potential to work two days onsite and three days remote each week, depending on mission needs

Preferred

Bachelor's degree preferred
Familiarity with C, C++, Python, or Java and comfort working across multiple OS environments (Windows, Linux, macOS)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
