Responsibilities

Responsible for new product development, including but not limited to:
Creation of CNC programs for new products
Creation of manufacturing process for new product
Creation of operation prints as required
Coordinate with quality on inspection methods
Participate in pre-production process to ensure all items are kitted and available at setup time
Create and maintain setup sheets
Create jobs and process documentation as required
Partner with Management and Production on floor support
Assist with quoting part rates
Lead continuous improvement including, but not limited to:
Identify, lead, and Coordinate “Kaizen” events
Identify and lead “quick hit” improvements
Research, procure, and develop new technology including, but not limited to:
Tooling
Work holding
Equipment
Participate in quality activities including, but not limited to:
NCMR review
Root cause analysis
Material review board
Mentor other engineers and machinists to improve their manufacturing and engineering skill sets

Qualification

Required

High School Diploma, or GED equivalent
A minimum of 5 years of experience in machining
A minimum of 3 years CAM programming experience
A minimum of 2 years of experience in an engineering related function
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident, due to contractual requirements

Preferred

Associate's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
Contract manufacturing experience
CAM programming in GIBBS
Strong Analytical skills and the ability to express concepts effectively, both written and verbally
Strong communication & customer-service skills
Knowledge of tooling, speeds and feeds and work methods is critical
Ability to be open minded and work well with others and in a team environment
Ability to set up and operate machine tools
Ability to program machine tools
Able to read and interpret blueprints and utilize GD&T proficiently
Ability to work independently with minimal training or supervision
Strong math skills
Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS office (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
3D CAD skills
