Senior Hardware Verification Engineer

Team Red Dog is seeking an experienced Senior Hardware Verification Engineer to support our Fortune 100 technology leader client, contributing to world-class innovation in cloud infrastructure. In this fully remote impactful role, you’ll work on FPGA-based storage and networking acceleration technologies within Azure Core—delivering high-performance, scalable cloud solutions while leveraging your deep expertise in UVM and SystemVerilog design verification.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute advanced verification test plans for IP-level and subsystem-level FPGA components
Build UVM-based verification environments and reusable infrastructure
Create test cases, coverage models, assertions, and automated validation workflows
Perform regression execution, coverage closure, debugging and root-cause analysis
Support prototype validation and simulation-based testing workflows
Ensure verification output aligns with design specifications and program milestones

Required

Extensive experience working with UVM (Universal Verification Methodology), including building verification environments and reusable components
Strong SystemVerilog coding skills, including writing test benches, assertions, and functional coverage
Knowledge of Verilog RTL programming language and ASIC/FPGA verification workflows
Hands-on experience verifying complex IPs or SoC-level subsystems in modern FPGA environments
Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
10+ years of professional experience in hardware design verification
Knowledge of Verilog RTL and simulation environments
Experience with FPGA or ASIC-based verification programs
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Preferred

Strong SystemVerilog and UVM experience in recent roles (within the past 3 years preferred)
Experience with AXI protocol is preferred but not required
