The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CNC programming and a strong understanding of machining processes, operating and programming CNC Mill & Lathes machines in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Responsibilities

Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for milling and lathe operations
Interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical documentation
Develop and optimize programs using Mastercam creating programs using 2D prints, solid models, and designing tooling/fixing if needed
Program, set-up, and operate CNC milling machines and lathes
Conduct setup of CNC machines, including tooling adjustments based on job specifications
Perform inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM)
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure optimal part production
Troubleshoot machining issues and provide solutions to improve operational efficiency
Mentor and train junior machinists and contribute to process improvements

Required

Over 5 years' experience
Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely
High School Diploma or GED, College a Plus
Detail oriented
Experience in high mix, low-volume production
Able to create and set up new programs using Mastercam
5+ years of CNC machining experience, including programming from scratch
Expertise in Mastercam, able to program Lathes and 4-axis Mills
Ability to inspect your own work using precision measurement tools
Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and craftsmanship
Proven experience in CNC programming with a strong background in manufacturing and machining environments
In-depth knowledge of mechanical principles, geometry, tooling, and blueprint reading is essential
Experience with precision measuring instruments is required to ensure quality control throughout production runs

Preferred

Knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100 (preferred)
Experience working in an MRP environment
