Construction Resident Engineer – Serving Clients in Kane & Kendall Counties

They are seeking a Construction Resident Engineer to serve as the onsite project representative, manage field operations, and ensure high-quality project execution in Water Transmission Pipeline projects.

Responsibilities
Serve as the onsite project representative
On-site problem solving to provide the best solutions to the client
Inspection duties
Perform construction contract administration
Develop probable construction cost estimates
Attend client meetings (typically municipal clients)
Supervise, review, and mentor staff members
Other assignments as needed
Qualification
Required
B.S. Engineering with 7+ years of construction management
Experience with Water Transmission Pipelines, including PCCP, Ductile Iron, and Steel
Excellent leadership and communication skills (written and oral)
Working knowledge and experience with state and local regulations
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred
P.E. License in Illinois preferred or on P.E. track
IDOT Documentation of Contract Quantities Certification preferred, or ability to obtain within 12 months
Knowledge and experience with CAD programs a plus, preferably MicroStation
