CAD Engineer – Analog Mixed-Signal
GAC Solutions is seeking a CAD Engineer specializing in Analog Mixed-Signal design. The role involves supporting IC design teams through CAD flow automation, administering EDA environments, and developing Python-based scripts to enhance design and verification processes.
Responsibilities
Support analog and mixed-signal IC design teams through CAD flow automation and infrastructure
Administer EDA environments for analog and digital design teams
Support and integrate tools from Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens/Mentor, Keysight, Ansys, and foundries
Develop and maintain Python-based scripts to enhance design and verification flows
Own and customize physical verification flows and decks (DRC, LVS, PEX, EM/IR, ESD)
Develop and maintain custom PDK infrastructure, including pcells, models, and rule decks
Install, track, and regression-test foundry PDKs
Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure compute resource availability and performance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree with 4+ years of IC CAD / EDA engineering experience
Strong scripting skills in Python; proficiency in SKILL and Perl (Python preferred)
Hands-on experience with Cadence Virtuoso, Calibre DRC/LVS, and physical verification tools
Solid understanding of analog and digital design flows
Experience with physical design verification: DRC, LVS, PEX, ERC, EM/IR (RV), and waiver management
Strong software development fundamentals
Excellent communication skills; ability to collaborate with remote, cross-functional teams
