Marketing Director
Clyde Companies, Inc. is an innovative retail concept redefining home improvement shopping. The Marketing Director will architect and execute the marketing strategy for a new store concept, focusing on customer acquisition, retention, and brand awareness across multiple channels.

Responsibilities
Develop and execute marketing across digital, social, email, and in-store to drive acquisition, traffic, and sales with cohesive messaging
Coordinate campaigns and promotional calendars and product storytelling to bring the curated, project-oriented brand to life across all channels
Own strategies to increase lifetime value, including a Pro & DIY loyalty program with rewards, events, and targeted offers
Continuously refine loyalty initiatives and customer communications using insights to improve retention and repeat engagement
Lead partnership marketing and community outreach through vendor co-marketing, local trade partnerships, and workshops
Manage the marketing budget and track KPIs (CAC, conversion, ROI), optimizing spend with test-and-learn approaches (A/B tests, pilots)
Drive day-to-day execution, ensuring campaigns, content, and in-store promotions launch on time and align with the marketing calendar
Oversee workflows with creative partners to deliver digital ads, email, signage, and video with high brand consistency and impact
Partner with Merchandising, Store Ops, E-commerce, IT, Finance, and Leadership to align marketing with business goals
Implement CRM, loyalty platforms, and dashboards to enable data-driven decision making and campaign optimization
Analyze customer data, market trends, and campaign results to refine targeting, creative, and channel mix while fostering experimentation
Uphold data privacy and brand guidelines across initiatives; act as brand steward and customer advocate internally
Qualification
Required
8–10+ years of progressive marketing experience, including leadership roles managing teams, budgets, and omni-channel campaigns; retail sector experience strongly preferred, ideally in omni-channel or specialty retail; startup or high-growth exposure is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (required)
Proven ability to design and execute integrated marketing strategies across digital and traditional channels that deliver growth results; understands how to balance brand-building with performance marketing in a retail context
Strong analytical skills with experience using marketing analytics, CRM databases, and ROI tracking tools to guide decision-making; adept at defining and tracking key metrics (CAC, LTV, retention rates, etc.) and translating data into actionable insights and optimizations
Knowledge of customer loyalty programs, CRM, and personalization tactics in a retail or consumer business; ability to craft engaging loyalty/rewards programs and customer journeys that increase customer lifetime value and satisfaction
Excellent project management and organizational skills to juggle multiple campaigns, product launches, and events in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented and deadline-driven, with a hands-on approach to ensuring marketing initiatives are delivered on time and on budget
Demonstrated success in building and leading teams, with the communication skills to inspire and guide both direct reports and cross-functional partners; able to influence and collaborate with peers in Creative, Merchandising, Operations, and Executive teams to drive unified business outcomes
Entrepreneurial, agile thinker who thrives in a build-from-scratch environment; comfortable with lean resources and able to wear many hats; innovative, not afraid to pilot new ideas, iterate quickly, and pivot strategies based on results; resilient and positive in the face of challenges, with a continuous improvement attitude
Deep empathy for the home improvement customer (from first-time DIYers to seasoned Pros) and the ability to champion the customer's voice in marketing strategy; skilled in crafting brand messaging that resonates with target segments and differentiates our concept (e.g., emphasizing our curated product selection, design-forward approach, and community focus)
Proficiency with digital marketing and CRM tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEO/SEM platforms, email marketing software, loyalty program systems, social media management tools); solid understanding of e-commerce and retail metrics; familiarity with creative design tools or content management is a plus
Preferred
MBA or relevant master's degree preferred, particularly with a concentration in marketing, strategy, or business leadership
Certifications such as AMA Professional Certified Marketer, Google Analytics Certification, SEO/SEM credentials, or other digital marketing tools are considered valuable differentiators
Demonstrated history of staying current with evolving marketing practices through executive education, industry associations (e.g., AMA, NRF), or ongoing training in emerging marketing technologies
