Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end migration projects of SAP landscapes from AWS cloud to AWS Cloud
Plan, design, and execute migration strategies for the following SAP applications:
SAP ECC, BW, SCM, EWM
SAP CAMS
SAP C-Folders
SAP Fiori
SAP SLT (Landscape Transformation Replication Server)
SAP PI/PO (Process Integration/Process Orchestration)
SAP Enterprise Portal
SAP BODS (BusinessObjects Data Services) & BOBI (BusinessObjects Business Intelligence)
SAP GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance)
SAP Content Server
SAP Visual Enterprise Generator
SAP J2EE Applications
SAP ILM (Information Lifecycle Management)
Perform SAP Basis administration: installations, upgrades, kernel updates, patching, client/system copies, refreshes, and transport management
Configure and support high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and backup/restore for SAP applications in AWS
Collaborate with cloud infrastructure teams to design secure VPC, subnet, and networking architecture for SAP in AWS
Optimize SAP performance in AWS using EC2, RDS/Oracle/HANA, EBS, S3, and related services
Ensure compliance with DoD and federal standards (STIGs, NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP, IL4/IL5) during migration and operations
Manage user administration, roles, and authorizations across SAP applications
Provide cutover planning, execution, and hyper care support for migrations
Document architecture, migration playbooks, and operating procedures
Mentor junior Basis and cloud engineers, ensuring best practices in SAP and AWS operations
Qualification
Required
Active [Secret/Top Secret] clearance
10+ years of SAP Basis administration and 5+ years in cloud migration projects
Proven hands-on expertise migrating SAP applications to AWS
Strong experience with SAP ECC, BW, EWM, SCM, CAMS, C-Folders, Fiori, SLT, PI/PO, Portal, BODS, BOBI, GRC, Content Server, Visual Enterprise Generator, J2EE Apps, ILM
Knowledge of AWS services for SAP: EC2, RDS, S3, EBS, CloudWatch, IAM, Security Groups, Transit Gateway
Experience with HANA, Oracle, and other SAP-supported databases
Strong knowledge of system refresh, migration methodologies (SUM, SWPM, DMO), and SAP HANA Migration Cockpit
Understanding of SAP security (SNC, SSO, TLS, encryption)
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred
SAP Certification in Basis, S/4HANA, or Cloud (AWS for SAP)
Experience with Azure or GCP SAP migrations in addition to AWS
Knowledge of DevOps/automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins) for SAP cloud deployment
Familiarity with Zero Trust frameworks in federal SAP environments
