Responsibilities
Design, automate, and maintain infrastructure systems, as well as continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines, using Terraform, Ansible, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins to ensure secure, scalable, and high-quality software delivery
Integrate artificial intelligence-assisted tools such as Claude Code or Copilot to automate repetitive tasks, improve monitoring, enhance reliability, and accelerate deployment processes
Lead the adoption and operation of Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring resilient service deployment, scaling, and recovery
Implement Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or EFK stacks, along with Application Insights and Log Analytics, to enhance system observability, minimize downtime, and facilitate rapid incident response
Track and improve key DevOps metrics such as deployment frequency, lead time for changes, and change failure rate
Establish the right metrics and dashboards to monitor these KPIs, and work to increase deployment frequency from monthly to weekly or daily while reducing the change failure rate
Embed DevSecOps practices across all workflows, manage secrets securely, and maintain a ready infrastructure
Enhance monitoring and logging for observability, reduce critical system issues, and streamline incident management
Bridge the gap between the cloud engineering team and the development teams, enabling faster and more reliable deployments
Partner with developers, quality assurance, and operations teams to improve workflows, mentor junior engineers, and maintain clear runbooks and internal guides
Participate in agile and sprint planning processes with the development teams and debug operational issues as they arise
Qualification
Required
Proficient in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
Experience in building CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins
Hands-on expertise with containerization using Docker
Strong cloud background in Azure, or with AWS and/or GCP
Solid development skills in Java, Bash, and Python
Experience working with databases
Understanding and application of DevSecOps practices such as IAM, RBAC, TLS, and secret management
Experience implementing monitoring and logging with tools like Prometheus or Grafana
Fluency in AI-assisted DevOps workflows
Ability to incorporate AI-generated suggestions into infrastructure, monitoring, and deployment processes
Experience integrating AI-assisted tools into daily workflows
Ability to take full ownership of systems from design to maintenance
Experience troubleshooting complex issues
Effective communication and team player skills
Experience mentoring junior engineers
Ability to collaborate with developers, quality assurance, and operations teams
Preferred
Experience in health technology and familiarity with electronic medical records
Familiarity with healthcare standards such as HL7 and FHIR
Knowledge of compliance frameworks like ISO 27001, SOC 2, or PHIPA
