Program Coordinator

GIRLS CLUB OF LOS ANGELES is seeking a Program Coordinator to support family child care providers and center-based programs in compliance with state and federal regulations. Responsibilities

Conduct regular site and home visits to ensure compliance with California Department of Social Services (CDSS), Title 5/22 regulations, and contractual requirements
Monitor implementation of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and ensure nutrition guidelines are followed in collaboration with the Nutrition team
Support providers in implementing developmentally, linguistically, and culturally appropriate programs
Collaborate with the Environment Rating Scale (ERS) Consultant to maintain FCCERS-3 ratings of 5 or higher
Participate in the annual Program Self-Evaluation (PSE), Contract Monitoring Review (CMR), and Program Integrity Monitoring processes
Maintain accurate provider files, monitoring logs, deficiency notices, and corrective action plans
Submits the weekly work plan each Monday, accompanied by the previous week's status report
Provide individualized coaching, mentoring, and technical assistance to family child care providers
Support providers in curriculum planning and ensure monthly lesson plans are submitted in advance
Guide providers in Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP) implementation, including anecdotal notes (minimum three per child weekly), and conduct DRDP in the first 60 days and every six months thereafter
Provide DRDP Observation resources to help providers and teachers observe and collect evidence, organize an observation system, and review and reflect on documentation. Use the checklist and guidance for conducting meaningful observations of children in this program
Train providers in using assessment data to inform instructional practices and improve child outcomes (lesson planning and activities)
Plan, deliver, and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and small group learning opportunities for providers and, in collaboration with the Program Administrator, develop an annual training schedule with a variety of activities local and state-wide
Share community and statewide professional development opportunities promptly
Ensure providers are enrolled in the Workforce Registry
Monitor provider completion of developmental profiles and DRDP assessments for each enrolled child
Generate reports such as class planning, cohort progress, parent progress reports, and train providers in using assessment data to inform instructional practices
Ensure timely submission of weekly work plans, provider reports, and visit status updates
Use Learning Genie and other technology systems to track assessments, providers' quality ratings, and program high performance
Collect, analyze, and report data to demonstrate program impact and compliance
Support providers in conducting at least two parent conferences annually and sharing developmental progress reports with families
Collaborate with providers to strengthen parent engagement practices and host advisory meetings
Provide families with referrals to health, nutrition, social services, and community resources, ensuring follow-up as needed
Collaborate with community partners, resource and referral agencies, and service organizations to expand family support
Contribute to provider/family newsletters and engagement activities that reflect cultural and linguistic responsiveness
Model GCLA’s values of trust, respect, accountability, and cultural competence
Represent GCLA in a professional capacity at meetings, conferences, and collaborative networks
Participate in continuous quality improvement efforts, staff training, and strategic initiatives

Required

Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, Child Development, or a related field
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in early childhood education, family child care, or coaching/mentoring roles
Case Management skills such as engagement, assessment, planning, implementation, monitoring, reviewing, and analysis
Knowledge of DRDP, FCCERS-3, curriculum planning, and California Title 5/Title 22 Regulations and conclusion
Familiarity with CACFP/USDA nutrition guidelines and program compliance requirements
Strong skills in coaching, mentoring, and professional development facilitation
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Developmentally Appropriate Practices: Knowledge of early learning standards and culturally responsive programming
Coaching & Mentorship: Ability to model best practices and provide constructive feedback
Data-Driven Practices: Skilled in assessment systems, data analysis, and using results to guide instruction

Must have dependable transportation, a valid driver's license, and proof of current auto insurance to travel between program sites and community locations
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
Combination of office-based administrative work and field-based monitoring/coaching
