Senior Compliance Engineer

Responsibilities

Lead compliance efforts throughout the product development lifecycle
Develop and execute test plans for pre-compliance and formal certification
Collaborate with external labs (e.g., UL, ETL) for quotes, certifications, and testing
Interpret and apply international standards (CISPR, EN, IEC, ANSI, ETSI, ISO)
Review schematics, PCB layouts, and mechanical designs for compliance risks
Guide design teams on best practices for EMC, RF, and safety
Create critical component lists and setup instructions for testing
Maintain documentation for regulatory submissions and audits
Stay updated on global regulatory changes
Mentor junior engineers and support internal training
Knowledge of working with EMC software like BAT EMC

Required

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronics design, with some exposure to Compliance related work, particularly in EMC/EMI, RF, and safety standards
Strong ability to interpret and apply regulatory standards and testing methodologies
Hands-on experience with test equipment (spectrum analyzers, EMI receivers, LISNs, etc.)
Familiarity with wireless technologies (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, etc.) and associated regulatory requirements
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Self-starter with a passion for continuous improvement and process optimization
