Education Management

Responsibilities

Supporting and maintaining compliance and risk frameworks for Catholic Education - Diocese of Rockhampton (CEDR) in collaboration with internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with industry standards and governance principles
Monitoring and reviewing governance structures, risk registers and policy documents to ensure they remain current and effective
Tracking and analysing regulatory changes across the education sector and government levels, providing insights and recommendations to inform organisation responses and policy development
Assisting in risk management activities including contract reviews, school support and development of fit-for-purpose policies that promote safety, compliance and educational quality
Collaborating across teams to ensure governance and risk frameworks reflect emerging issues, particularly those impacting student wellbeing and educational outcomes

Required

An understanding of, and a commitment to, the ethos of Catholic Education
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
The ability to work well either individually or collaboratively as part of a team, and to accept direction and support
The ability to adapt and be flexible within a dynamic educational setting
A tertiary qualification applicable to the role relevant to governance, risk and compliance or similar, plus extensive and relevant experience as required to reflect higher levels of professional outcomes
A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice is a requirement of the position
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner
