GIS Specialist I
AECOM is a global infrastructure consulting firm dedicated to delivering a better world. The GIS Specialist I will support the Marine Corps Base Hawaii Geospatial Information and Services office, focusing on GIS data management, geospatial analysis, and cartographic product development.

Responsibilities
Gather and review technical requirements to meet project goals
Follow project plans to successfully execute assigned work and technical quality reviews
GPS data collection using a variety of field software and equipment
Create, edit, or delete GIS features/attribute information within enterprise geodatabases
Prepare digital maps
Maintain strong knowledge in existing and emerging GIS related software and technologies
Apply attention to detail with proactive and resourceful problem-solving skills
Communicate and collaborate with the team lead to understand and document system/solution requirements
Organize, document, and communicate status updates to program/project leads
Data management and technical writing
Have excellent critical thinking, decision-making, conflict resolution, and analytical skills
Qualification
Required
BA/BS or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Valid Driver's License and as a condition of employment must be able to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review
Due to the nature of work, US citizenship is required
GIS and ArcGIS Experience is required
Preferred
Proficiency with the Esri suite of applications such as: ArcGIS Enterprise, Pro, and Desktop Software
Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D/AutoCAD Map
Understanding of geography, geospatial science, and GIS principles
Comfortable working outside and/or traveling occasionally to support field activities
Experience using python or other programming languages to automate GIS workflows and data validation processes
Comfortable working in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment
General understanding of relational database organization, design, and functionality
Ability to learn and present best practices for data management including workflows, tools, governance models, and integration patterns
Demonstrated knowledge of cartographic design and production concepts and principles
Familiarity with the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE)
