Responsibilities

Design and implement resilient backend systems that support the delivery of essential healthcare services
Drive consistent execution across sprints and longer term initiatives within the core platform and infrastructure
Take full ownership of technical designs, requirements, and implementation with minimal oversight
Make thoughtful tradeoffs between speed and quality while keeping outcomes and patient impact front and center
Work side by side with clinicians, care teams, and operations partners to clarify requirements and close gaps between intent and execution
Extend the effectiveness of engineering leadership by independently advancing key projects and initiatives
Continuously refine your craft through feedback, experimentation, and a strong commitment to growth

Qualification

Required

Five or more years building complex backend systems that support web, mobile, or data driven products
Prior experience leading technical efforts, mentoring peers, or guiding architectural decisions
Strong ability to plan, prioritize, and manage your own work in a collaborative environment
A track record of shipping scalable services with a deep sense of empathy for end users
Solid grounding in computer science principles and core software engineering concepts
Proficiency in at least one server side language such as Ruby, PHP, JavaScript, or a comparable technology

Preferred

Additional experience in healthcare technology, startup environments, cloud platforms, or distributed systems is a plus
