This role involves overseeing the accounting, close, and reporting for General Partner entities, including profit and loss reporting and partner allocations.

Responsibilities

Own the monthly and quarterly close for General Partner entities and related vehicles, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and GAAP-based reporting

Maintain complete and accurate general ledgers, trial balances, and supporting schedules for GP entities

Review cash activity, capital contributions, and distributions; ensure timely and accurate recording in partnership with Treasury and Fund Accounting teams

Prepare and review GP profit and loss statements, partner capital accounts, and allocation schedules

Calculate and review carried interest, vesting, and other GP-level economics in accordance with governing agreements

Prepare and distribute GP reporting packages to internal stakeholders and partners, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality

Lead preparation of quarterly and annual GP financial statements and supporting documentation

Serve as a primary point of contact for GP-related audit processes and requests

Partner closely with Tax and Legal teams to support tax reporting, entity structuring, and partner-level inquiries

Coordinate with Fund Accounting and Operations teams to ensure alignment between fund-level and GP-level activity

Identify and implement opportunities to automate, streamline, and enhance GP accounting and reporting workflows

Assist in the development and documentation of GP-specific accounting policies, procedures, and controls

Support system enhancements and data integrity initiatives related to GP accounting and reporting

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

10+ years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong focus on partnership and GP accounting within alternatives

Exceptional knowledge of US GAAP, partnership accounting, allocations, and GP economics

Advanced Excel skills; experience with accounting and reporting systems required

Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities while handling sensitive and confidential information

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to partner effectively with senior stakeholders

Strong track record and demonstrated commitment to upholding our core values of excellence, teamwork, stewardship, integrity, and respect

Preferred

CPA preferred

Knowledge of equity-based compensation accounting preferred

Experience within private equity, private credit, insurance/reinsurance platforms, or complex partnership structures preferred

Experience working in best-in-class software systems for GP accounting and analytics

Preference for experience in a leading public accounting firm (FS / alternatives audit)

Experience with Allvue is a plus
