Responsibilities

Support and Execute Enterprise Data Strategy

Support the CIO in the execution of HMA’s enterprise data strategy aligned with organizational goals

Translate strategic priorities into actionable data initiatives and operational plans

Partner with leadership on data-related initiatives and priorities

Oversee Data Management

Ensure effective data governance, quality, and lifecycle management

Maintain collaboration among data team members and relevant stakeholders

Implement best practices for data documentation and use

Lead Analytics, Reporting, and Business Intelligence Delivery

Lead the design and delivery of internally focused analytics, reporting solutions, and business intelligence tools

Ensure data is transformed into accurate, timely, and actionable insights for stakeholders

Develop and maintain standardized data assets, dashboards, and reporting tools

Manage and Develop Team Members

Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and performance management for assigned data team members

Support professional development and skill building across technical and non-technical roles

Foster a collaborative, improvement-focused team environment

Establish and Maintain Data Standards and Quality

Implement and enforce standards for data architecture, analytics, and data integration processes

Oversee quality control of data tools, dashboards, and deliverables

Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies

Oversee Database and Data Platform Operations

Support oversight of database administration functions across business units

Partner with IT Operations and Infrastructure teams to ensure appropriate provisioning, configuration, and performance of data platforms

Monitor data environment health, reliability, and scalability

Evaluate and Implement Data Tools & Technologies

Assist in evaluating data technologies, platforms, and tools to enhance enterprise data capabilities

Stay current on industry trends and emerging best practices in data management and analytics

Contribute to data technology roadmaps related to ETL, data storage, and reporting solutions

Compliance and Risk Management

Ensure data practices align with applicable data privacy regulations and industry standards

Support compliance efforts through documentation, controls, and monitoring

Required

Minimum of a bachelor's degree in data analytics, computer science, information systems, or related discipline is required

Minimum of 8 years of experience in data management, analytics, governance, or related field required

Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality standards, and data lifecycle management

Experience with analytics, business intelligence tools, and reporting platforms

Working knowledge of database administration and data management, including SQL

Knowledge of data privacy regulations and industry standards

Ability to develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with organizational objectives

Strong project management skills

Strong leadership and collaboration skills
