Qualification
Required
Enterprise system programming experience in Natural and COBOL batch programming utilizing ADABAS database in a Linux environment
Experience troubleshooting complex SNAP and TANF eligibility determination systems in a Linux environment using Natural One IDE and MicroFocus COBOL
Experience in analysis, design, and programming of large or complex development projects on large-scale IBM Mainframe or Linux systems
Experience with automated eligibility determination systems, including SNAP, TANF Eligibility, SNAP E&T, Benefits, and Benefit Recovery
Ability to provide recommendations for system and process enhancements
Experience developing, maintaining, and updating documentation for procedures, policies, and processes
Knowledge of SNAP and TANF eligibility, economic assistance policies and procedures, and related state and federal mandates
Experience interpreting, designing, and implementing federal and state mandates in Linux systems
10+ years enterprise programming with Natural and COBOL using ADABAS
6+ years experience with large-scale development projects
6+ years experience working with SNAP/TANF eligibility systems
Preferred
Strong oral and written communication and time management skills
Strong troubleshooting skills and willingness to provide on-call support
Ability to work independently and collaboratively to complete team projects and resolve technical problems
Ability to develop creative solutions and strong problem-solving abilities
Experience with SCRUM or Iteration methodologies
Experience with Jira Software
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Experience converting outdated technologies to modern systems
