Responsibilities
Client invoicing and accounts receivable tracking
Payroll processing and reconciliation
Managing accounts payable
Reconciling bank accounts and credit cards
Maintaining accurate, up-to-date books in QuickBooks Online
Owning monthly close (reconciliations, accruals, categorization)
Updating agreed-upon financial metrics on a regular cadence
Ensuring financials are CPA-ready each month
Flagging issues early — cash flow concerns, inconsistencies, or anomalies
You will not file taxes
You *will* make tax prep smooth, boring, and drama-free
Qualification
Required
5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
End-to-end ownership of books for a small business or agency
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online
Experience with payroll, contractors, and service-based revenue
High attention to detail and low tolerance for messy reconciliations
Clear, calm communication with non-accountants
Preferred
Agencies or professional services businesses
