Beretta USA is a leading manufacturer in the firearms industry, and they are seeking a Research and Development Engineering Intern for their Gallatin facility. The intern will support various engineering functions, including manufacturing process support, product validation testing, and CAD drawing updates.

Responsibilities

Support and assist with developing and testing manufacturing processes

Troubleshoot manufacturing issues – problem solving and root cause analysis

Create and maintain process documentation

Support operators and setup personnel/technicians on the factory floor

Support testing and validation of existing and new products in development or production

Generate and update CAD drawings and solid models of components and assemblies

Maintain product data including product definition documents (drawings and specifications), Bills of Material, and other supporting documentation

Support product and process brainstorming and design activities

Support analysis of workforce utilization, plant layout and operational data such as production cost, process flow charts, production schedules and capacity planning

Recommend and support implementation of methods to improve worker efficiency and eliminate waste

Perform other duties as assigned

Mechanical EngineeringManufacturing Engineering3D Solid Modeling/CADMS Office applicationsOrganizational skillsTeamwork

Required

Rising Juniors or Seniors pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or Senior pursuing a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering or Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering or related degree

Familiarity with MS Office applications

Familiarity with 3D Solid modeling/CAD

Ability to read and understand blueprints/drawings

Strong organizational skills

Ability to work in team environment with daily changing priorities
