Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Quality Plans, Control Plans, and inspection checklists, while deriving Critical to Quality (CTQ) parameters and establishing Q-gates
Monitor and analyze First Pass Yield metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance product quality and production efficiency
Proactively monitor customer complaints, conducting thorough analyses to determine root causes, and implementing corrective actions; Coordinate with Cross-Functional Teams (CFTs) during customer audits, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and certification audits (UL, CSA, ISO), ensuring all requirements are met and issues are promptly addressed
Perform COPQ analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities, implementing initiatives that reduce defects, improve efficiency, and enhance overall profitability; Mapping current manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement through automation

Required

Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical Engineering or related field PLUS minimum 5 years of experience
Proficient in quality tools like FMEA, 7 QC tools, 5S, 5Why, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, SPC, DMAIC & 8D Root cause analysis
Familiar with key industry standards such as UL1561, NEMA ST-20, IEEE C57.12.01, IEEE C57.12.91, DOE 2016, UL891, and CSA C22.2
Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US

Preferred

Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies is highly desirable
