Responsibilities

Provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under the supervision of a physician

Obtain patient history and perform assessment

Order, perform and interpret diagnostic procedures

Provide and document direct treatment and management of health conditions

Provide counseling and education of patient and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources

Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care

Qualification

Physician Assistant credentialAdvanced Cardiac Life SupportBLS Provider certificationGraduate of accredited program

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 3 months of hire

DEA and CDS required to start

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted required. Verified by local credentialing office

Physician Assistant credentialed from the Maryland Board of Physicians obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Verified by local Credentialing Office

Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program
