First Title & Escrow is seeking a remote Title Searcher. The successful candidate will be responsible for searching public records and historic data to determine land titles and encumbrances, preparing title reports, and collaborating with various stakeholders to resolve title-related issues.

Responsibilities

Searching the public record and historic data and abstracting information is essential to determining land titles and encumbrances, restrictions, and covenants

Must understand basic real estate terminology and legal documents

Gathering and documenting the chain of title for parcels of land

Preparing various types of title reports

Examine documentation such as mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, plat books, maps, contracts, and agreements to verify factors such as properties' legal descriptions, ownership, or restrictions

Confer with realtors, lending institution personnel, buyers, sellers, contractors, surveyors, attorneys, and courthouse personnel in order to exchange title-related information or to resolve problems
