Uber is offering a unique, 10-month Software Engineering Boost Fellowship for engineers with non-traditional backgrounds to launch their careers. Responsibilities
You will participate in a structured, 10-month program in the San Francisco Bay Area with two phases:
Phase 1 (3 months): specialized engineering training
Phase 2 (7 months): embedded within an engineering team, contributing to real-world projects
Qualification
Required
Ability to code small projects in any programming language
Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) from January 26, 2026 - December 4, 2026
Ability to work in-person at an Uber Bay Area Office (San Francisco/Sunnyvale, California)
Less than 6 months of full-time experience as a software engineer
Eligible to work in the United States
Preferred
A graduate from ASU (Arizona State University) between 2020-2024 through the Uber-ASU partnership for Uber earners with a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or data science
A graduate with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience in an engineering related bootcamp
Naturally curious: You're innovative and constantly search for ways to tweak and optimize processes
A fast learner: You flourish with learning new technologies and adapt easily to a fast-paced business environment
A great teammate: You believe the whole is greater than the sum of its parts and rely on others' feedback for continuous improvement
A self-starter: You have integrity, superior organization skills, and follow through on tasks
