2nd Shift Inventory Investigator

Daifuku is the nation’s leading independent provider of intelligent material handling systems. They are seeking an Inventory Investigator to investigate and distribute material shortages within the Inventory Department, ensuring proper inventory management and reporting.

Responsibilities

Performing material expediting and transaction verification for urgent/priority work order requirements
Investigating databases, locates materials, and distributes to departments as required
Running critical material reports,coordinates movement and obtains status and location of critical material
Following-up on past due material and prepares daily reports to supervisor of material delays effecting work orders
Performing clerical duties, and maintaining accurate records and files of activities
Receiving, unpacking, and delivering goods; re-stocks items as necessary; labels shelves
May lead, guide, and train staff, student employees, and interns performing related work
Performing other duties as assigned based on Inventory Department needs
Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures
Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and programs
Detail-oriented, organized and thorough
Ability to multi-task and provide team support
Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data
Ability to analyze and solve problems
Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods
Clerical, word processing, and/or office skills
Good interpersonal skills for working with various departments
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist
Kneeling: Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees
Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine
Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time
Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another
Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position
Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm
Visual: The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles
Visual: The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures
