CNC Machinist Operator

They are currently seeking a CNC Machinist Operator for their Agawam, MA facility, responsible for producing precision machined parts by operating CNC machines and ensuring quality specifications are met.

Responsibilities

Loads, operates, cleans and maintains CNC machines and other shop equipment as directed
Assures that parts are made to specification to achieve customer satisfaction
Verifies settings by measuring specifications on work pieces
Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations
Taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls
Maintain accurate quality records and documentation in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements
Responsible for following all established Vaupell policies, standard operating procedures and safety practices
Other duties as assigned

Required

High School Diploma/(GED) and 1 year plus job specific experience
Basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication)
Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence
Ability to read, speak, understand and follow instructions in English
Must be able to wear and properly use required personal protective equipment
Candidates must be a “US Person” (i.e. US Citizen or Permanent Resident) to ensure Vaupell's compliance with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and EAR (Export Administration Regulations)
