Principal Specialist, Configuration Management

They are seeking a Principal Configuration Management Specialist to lead the coordination and administration of configuration management activities, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and managing change and status accounting activities.

Responsibilities
Lead the coordination and administration of assigned configuration management activities relative to identification, control, verification and accounting for systems and equipment in accordance with contractual requirements
Establish procedures for and implement the introduction of changes to engineering documents for an assigned program and represent the functional group in the implementation of common processes
Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities (including classified support)
Ensures implementation of customer and internal configuration management requirements
Manage change and status accounting activities to ensure compliance with contractual and configuration management policies
Establish and control configuration identification processes and baselines
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
Typically requires at least 5 years of Configuration Management experience
Experience with MSOffice (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Experience with technology and computing tools (PDM-Product Data Management, SAP, or similar tools)
Active and transferrable final U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start. US citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Solid competency in project planning
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with various engineering disciplines to ensure data integrity and compliance with configuration management policies
Identify potential complex problems associated with technical engineering data, regarding configuration management issues, and take corrective action as needed
