Responsibilities

Design and develop SCADA and HMI applications for industrial automation projects

Configure and maintain virtualized servers which host the applications

Set up and maintain industrial networking equipment

Integrate control systems with mechanical and electrical components

Integrate a wide array of devices with common industrial communication protocols

Develop and maintain documentation for control systems, including schematics and data flow diagrams

Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and validation of control systems

Collaborate with field commissioning teams to ensure smooth implementation and reduce commissioning time

Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry regulations, and company policies

Provide technical support during installation and post-implementation phases

Participate in project planning and design reviews

Travel to project sites as needed for implementation and commissioning (25-50%)

Support continuous improvement initiatives for automation processes

Prepare project documentation such as SOOs, control logic narratives, cause & effect diagrams, loops & alarms documents, O&M Manuals

Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

Qualification

Required

5 – 10 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems design

Hands-on experience with major automation platforms (Allen-Bradley, Inductive Automation, GE, etc.)

Knowledge of safety standards and compliance requirements

Fundamentals of OT & Communications

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software tools

Ability to travel to client sites at manager discretion or as business needs dictate

Preferred

Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in Computer Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for formal education
