Sr. Cloud Architect - Portfolio Migration

The role involves architecting the transformation of a complex legacy system into a secure, FedRAMP High-compliant cloud environment while leading a team of engineers and ensuring compliance with security standards.

Responsibilities

Design and deploy a secure Hub-and-Spoke Landing Zone topology that meets FedRAMP High requirements, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep)
Lead the technical execution of the "Wave" migration strategy, managing parallel tracks for rapid Windows/Linux rehosting and complex AIX/Solaris refactoring
Develop strategies for migrating legacy Power workloads (AIX/Solaris), determining the optimal path between Emulation (e.g., Skytap) and Refactoring to Linux
Oversee the implementation of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps) to automate security gates (SAST/DAST) and continuous compliance reporting
Act as the primary technical liaison with Government application owners, guiding them through the "Shared Responsibility Model" and ensuring zero-downtime cutovers

Required

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 8+ years of experience designing and implementing cloud solutions in AWS or Azure for federal or large enterprise environments
Must hold at least one Professional-level Cloud Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert)

Preferred

Deep expertise in Legacy-to-Cloud migrations, specifically involving IBM Power Systems (AIX/Solaris) to Azure/AWS
Experience with Skytap or similar emulation tools for Unix workloads
Strong knowledge of NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, and FISMA compliance standards
Experience leading 'Migration Factory' teams in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
