Prospera Credit Union is a local, member-owned financial institution in the Fox Valley area. They are seeking a Branch Operations Trainer to oversee the Accounting department, prepare financial reports, and ensure accurate financial records while training and developing the accounting team.

Responsibilities

Day to day Accounting and Finance Functions - as a working manager 40%

General ledger - balancing, reconciliation, fixed assets, accruals, etc

Accounts Payable - ensure all bills are paid on a timely manner and are appropriate for the credit union

Month End Processing - journal entries, verification of GLs and reconciliations, variance reporting, investigation, ALM file prep and financial prep and review

Year End processing - Including tax preparation for our members and the credit union; 1099s, 1098, 990, 990T, WI-Form 4, etc

Training, Direct and Develop Accounting Team 25%

Oversee accounting department and develop the team

Financial Analysis and Reporting 20%

Regulatory Reporting - call report quarterly, other reporting as needed, submitting CU tax payments - federal and state withholding, sales use, corporate tax

Budgeting Process - helping with preparation and financial analysis

Member of Strategic ALCO Committee - help with deposit rate shops and suggestions for deposit rates, minute taker

Audit and Examinations 10%

Audits/Exams- be the point of contact for annual Financial Statement audit, accounting contact for State and NCUA exam, ALM validation

Strategic Direction 5%

Coordinating with other departments - projects, fixed assets, how it affects accounting, member of Strategic Leadership Team
