Senior Civil Project Manager
G3 Engineering & Surveying is an innovative company dedicated to creating a culture of energy and commitment. They are seeking a skilled and licensed Professional Engineer to lead project compliance and oversee project development, ensuring timely completion and high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
Direct and manage project development from the beginning to the completion of the project
Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication of the documents
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
Communicate with project stakeholders on a regular and ongoing basis
Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary
Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and stakeholders
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans
Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of the project
Develop the best practices and tools for project execution and management
Develop and coordinate training for technical staff
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited program
10 years progressive experience in civil engineering design including: water and sanitary sewer pipelines, roadway design for City and County projects, civil site design and drainage
Professional P.E. license in the state of South Carolina (required) and North Carolina (preferred)
Database and operating systems experience with Civil 3D and AutoCAD
Competent and proficient understanding of platforms, such as Hydrologic & Hydraulic modeling software
Demonstrated experience in personnel management
Experience of working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem solving capabilities
Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating
Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments
Ability to bring projects to successful completion through political sensitivity
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Ability to coach, mentor and develop team members
Maintain knowledge of state and local regulations and requirements
Must possess a valid driver's license
