Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and refine manufacturing processes and build sequences based on a strong understanding of materials and fabrication techniques
Evaluate equipment and tool performance to verify efficiency, reliability, and alignment with production requirements
Identify and resolve issues related to tooling, process capability, and production inefficiencies through root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
Collaborate with design engineering teams to provide feedback on design concepts and specifications, ensuring manufacturability and optimal use of available equipment and methods
Operate within a Model-Based Engineering environment using platforms such as 3DX (3DEXPERIENCE) and iBASEt Solumina to develop digital work instructions and manage process documentation
Support cross-functional initiatives to improve cycle time, cost, quality, and safety across manufacturing operations
Provide periodic off-shift support as needed to sustain production and ensure continuity of operations
Travel periodically to other sites or vendors for technical support and integration activities

Required

STEM Degree with 5+ years of experience
Experience with sub-system assembly and integration into first article complete air vehicles
Background in aerospace hardware development, integration, and manufacturing environments
Technical Aptitude: Proven ability to rapidly understand new technologies, systems, and integration challenges
Hands-On Expertise: Comfortable with hardware evaluation, troubleshooting, and subsystem-level integration tasks
Initiative & Independence: Self-starter with the ability to manage tasks without close supervision and drive projects to completion
Strategic Thinking: Makes informed, data-driven decisions with long-term project and program goals in mind
Attention to Detail: Maintains precision in documentation, process development, and execution
Collaboration: Works effectively within cross-functional teams and with external partners/suppliers
Aircraft fuel and hydraulic systems
Wire harness and interconnect installation/integration
Development/prototype/first article program support
CNC machining working knowledge
3DX/Catia V5 software usage
PLM and ERP software proficiency
Direct ownership and support of specific manufacturing operations as well as interface with production employees
Secret Clearance
